School Suite receives disclosures from education agencies and institutions, both public and private, which include the personal information contained in student records. We consider the following to be examples of personal information: they include but are not limited to your first and last name, email address, home address, phone number, and certain other information to the extent they are linked with your personal information. The information we learn from users helps us personalize and continually improve your experience on our Mobile App in furtherance of serving the user’s needs and our legitimate business purposes. We receive and store any information you enter on this Mobile App or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, customizing features for you, and communicating with you. Under FERPA, a school must provide a parent with an opportunity to inspect and review his or her child’s education records within 45 days following its receipt of a request. A school is required to provide a parent with copies of education records, or make other arrangements, if a failure to do so would effectively prevent the parent from obtaining access to the records. To ensure data security, School Suite provides limited ability to amend data through the use of select Student Information Systems (e.g., Veracross). Within your sole discretion, you can allow parents, legal guardians, and eligible students, who are over eighteen years of age, to view and/or download student’s data through the School Suite Products that support this capability. In the event there is any erroneous data contained in the student record, School Suite advises parents, legal guardians, and eligible students to contact your school district to update the erroneous data.
